Black TeasBlack tea makes up the majority of our production. It is predominantly of CTC type and is graded into; PF1, PD, D1, BP1, F, F2 D2 and RD. We also have some orthodox leaf types that are finding interest in the specilty markets. We are try and work with buyers as much as possible to make teas to suit individual requirements within the limits of our machinery, tea varities and climatic conditions. All teas produced on Satemwa are ‘pesticide free’ Point of interest – Camellia sinensis (tea) evolved in china and Northern India. As a result most of the pests and diseases that evolved with it are not found in Africa.
