In 2004 Satemwa signed up to the nine principles of the UN Global Compact.

The Global Compact is active in Malawi, with a number of business having signed up to and actively pursuing programs in support of one or more of the ten principles. Satemwa has been actively involved from the outset of the Global Compact’s launch in Malawi and a number of programs under the social involvement program support the Global Compact.
